Pobre pueblo americano, bastante tienen con lo que tienen (ironía off). Yo no tengo ni idea de psicología, pero creo que, en el caso del 11S mucha gente intuye que sucedió algo muy oscuro pero es tal la magnitud de esta certeza siniestra (y de lo que comporta) que la han relegado al cajón más recóndito de su mente y hacen ver que no existe. Seguro que esto tiene un nombre en psicología.
se le llama Disonancia cognitiva:
“Sometimes people hold a core belief that is very strong.
When they are presented with evidence that works against that belief, the new evidence cannot be accepted. It would create a feeling that is extremely uncomfortable, called cognitive dissonance.
And because it is so important to protect the core belief, they will rationalize, ignore and even deny anything that doesn't fit in with the core belief.”
