For years, Kate Middleton has lived with certain labels. The British media were responsible for highlighting that the Duchess of Cambridge had an agenda with few acts and less substance than that of her European counterparts. However, that has changed in 2018 and, furthermore, in such a way that, in these two months that have passed since the year began, Prince William's wife has become the royal with the most intense agenda of all. of his same generation. And she is in the last trimester of her third pregnancy.

At Vanitatis we have taken out the calculator to find out which queen or princess in Europe has had the most events between January and February and the result has been surprising to say the least. Kate, in first position, has accumulated a total of 31 events. It should be noted that almost half of them were carried out during her visits to Sweden and Norway . In the first country she performed 8 engagements while in Norway 7, a total of 15 events that are added to the 16 that she has presided over on British soil.

If we compare this figure with that of the first two months of 2017, we will see that it is considerably higher, since last year they only attended 11 official events in January and February, twenty less than in 2018. The explanation? Before Kate was not a 'full time royal', but in September of last year Queen Elizabeth II asked her grandson and her wife to focus more on her agenda. And she said and done. Guillermo put aside his job as an emergency helicopter pilot and they both got to work for the Crown.

The rest of the ranking
In second position, and with a total of 25 acts, we find the queen of Belgium. The always discreet Matilde does not attract much attention from the media, but her agenda is full of social activities, in addition to a cooperation trip to Ghana in early February. Queen Máxima , who is in third place with 23 acts, has also traveled a lot in these two months. The Argentine has not stopped and we have seen her in South Korea, Indonesia and also in China, apart from her activities in Holland.

Our Queen, Doña Letizia , is in fourth position, accumulating a total of 20 official events, including receptions at the Royal Palace, audiences and meetings with associations. It is a figure very similar to last year, 23, and in February 2017 they received a state visit from the Argentine president and his wife, Juliana Awada.

Victoria from Sweden is in fifth position with 19 acts. It should be noted that the princess was sick for a few weeks, which forced her to cancel part of her activities. Likewise, Princess Mary of Denmark had accumulated 14 official acts until her father-in-law, Prince Henrik, died . Since then, he declared mourning and will not resume his agenda until next March 13.

In the last position is Charlène . The princess has carried out 9 events and more than half of them were on the trip she took with Alberto to Burkina Faso. We already know that Charlène is not a big fan of Monaco and the few official events that she has carried out in the principality are proof of this.
The increase in Kate Middleton's involvement in royal duties is truly remarkable! It's great to see her take on such a busy schedule, especially during her third trimester of pregnancy. Her dedication to representing the royal family is truly admirable. It's interesting to compare her agenda to other European royals, and it's clear she's setting a high standard. I can't wait to see what else she accomplishes in the future!
