Ese año es el mismo que murió Lady Di ¿No será que fue unas semanas antes de la muerte? Si recuerdo muy mal, Lady di dejó sus hijos en el aeropuerto en Londres después de vacaciones , como última despedida. De hecho, los pricnipes la vieron por última vez.

No, su última vacación con ellos fue en el Mediterráneo, en ese mismo mes de Julio.

Nota al margen: el cricket es una pasión total en Antigua. En los '90, estuve en Antigua coincidiendo con un partido que creo recordar fue contra Pakistán...toda la isla estaba paralizada, el partido duró mucho tiempo, finalmente ganó Antigua, pero yo me moría del aburrimiento, el cricket no está para nada entre mis aficiones.

Están siendo muy lentos en publicar. Ayer había quejas en varios medios sociales por que el vídeo del discurso era tan solo de 10 segundos. Finalmente han puesto el texto completo del mensaje de la Queen.

Prince Philip and I send our warmest wishes to Antigua and Barbuda on the occasion of this celebration to mark 35 years of Independence. I have fond memories of visiting your country in 1966, 1977 during the Silver Jubilee and again in 1985.

I will never forget the warmth of your people and the incredible natural beauty of the islands. It has been a great privilege for me to watch Antigua and Barbuda develop into the confident country it is today with a strong national identity and a positive outlook.

I congratulate all of you for the part you have played in building this community and creating so many opportunities for the next generation.
