SCOTLAND Yard officers protecting Prince Harry and Meghan in Canada have voiced concern about running errands including picking up groceries and coffees.

Protection officers guarding the couple around the clock at their remote bolthole have said they feel they are being treated like “skivvies”.

Their rota means they work for two weeks at a time - boosting their pay packets with overtime as they are on duty around the clock.

Former head of Royal Protection Dai Davies said: “I would consider outside the remit of the close protection officers to be running errands and going shopping.

"Their priority is close protection and as such have to stick to them like glue.

"But you build up a relationship with the employer and use a common sense approach in these situations.”


The team are running up huge bills on flights, cars, wages and overtime as they mount a round the clock watch on the couple who have stepped down as frontline royals.

One Royal Protection officer was seen buying food from an organic delicatessen - a favourite of Meghan’s close to her and Harry’s £10 million.

A team of up to 15 highly-trained close protection experts – including some Canadian ‘Mounties’ – are on duty around the couple and nine-month old son Archie.

The number is higher than previously reported – and the couple’s security detail appear to be using three other houses as well as the duke and duchess’s £10.5 million five-bedroom bolthole.


'RUNNING ERRANDS'
Last night, a royal security source said: “While the guys are happy to be out there doing the jobs, there is a feeling they are carrying out menial tasks, like picking up takeaways and groceries.

“They are close protection officers – and should be sticking solely to close protection rather than running errands.

“It is dangerous for one thing, because if something were to happen it would not be good if one of them was away running an errand or picking up coffee.

“And they are the ones who would get it in the neck from their bosses if they were in the wrong place at the wrong time.”

A local source said the officers had also been spotted picking up orders from a local branch of coffee and fast food outlet Tim Hortons.

The local source said: “The bodyguards have a fleet of cars, which must have been hired locally – all Range Rovers, Land Rovers and SUVs.

“There are 10-15 burly blokes and most of them seem to be British.

“They are doing a very good and professional job but it is hard not to spot them in an isolated place like this.

The claims by the officers come amid an ongoing row over who will pay for the Sussex’s security – with a cost-sharing exercise between Britain and Canada predicted.

Experts have estimated the annual bill for protecting Harry and Meghan at £3 million to £6 million.

Pudiera mandar 1 o 2 persona, ya sea una asistente o lo que sea, y pasaría mas desapercibida y nadie notaría que trabaja para ellos pero hay que dar de que hablar y mandan a Scotland Yard para café y doughnut Y alucino con el gasto desproporcionado para la seguridad, ni la Reina tiene tantos... a veces se le ve andar en el tren con un solo seguridad. Y yo me pregunto si los propios oficiales de seguridad no deben negarse a hacer funciones de asistentes. Ellos no están contratados por H&M, por lo que sus lineamientos y normativas vienen de quienes los contratan, que es como oficiales de seguridad y no como parte del servicio doméstico.

Es exagerado compararlos con Cain y Abel. Pero si, Harry es inestable. Pero fijate en algo" aun siendo Principe es humano, como vos y como yo. Y como no ser inestable? Fue concebido por un hombre que no amaba a su esposa, amaba a otra tipa. Y es que el titulo, el apellido, el dinero, ni palacios, ni ser nieto de reina, etc, nada nada de eso te da estabilidad. Por muy principrs, millonarios, lo que sea, nada te da estabilidad emocional. Atudan terapias psicologicas, pero ayudan si el individuo pone de su parte y si puede cambiar el ambiente que lo daña. Y si salir de ese ambiente a el le da tranquilidad, que lo haga.

A mi me hace falta, soy mas fan de Harry que de William. Se ve que la muerte de Diana toco a Carlos para siempre y para bien. William ha estado mas arropado que Harry, por su condicion de futuro rey. A Harry lo consintieron mas, por lo mismo que no iba a ser rey. Lo acaba de decir un ec chofer y guardaespaldas de ellos en una entrevista, que Diana los amaba a los dos, pero mimaba mas a Harry. Carlos y la reina igual. Cuando Diana murio, Carlos se quedo obviamente con su custodia, de los dos, pero la reina superviso lo mas que pudo su crianza, la reina es la segunda madre de Harry. De ambos, pero a Harry le permitieron lo que a William no.

Fue un error haber sacado a Harry del servicio militar y fue un error permitirsele casarse con Meghan, no porque ella sea mala, si yo soy fan de Meghan, pero ella no esta siendo el apoyo que Harry ocupa. Esa foto sonriendole a los paparazzis en Canada fueron un error, dijo mucho y fueron un golpe para Harry.

El primer ministro le dijo a Harry que su gobierno iba a revisar su caso y en un año le iban a tener una resolucion.

Harry tiene 2 caminos: regresar o no volver.
Si vuelve es al año, sino vuelve es con todo y para siempre. Pero hay algo que es seguro: las parejas hoy son, mañana puede que no. Pero su papa es su papa, como Dios se lo mando, Principe y futuro rey de una gran nacion, su hermano es su hermano, su familia es quien es y eso no lo puedo cambiar. Asi como yo no puedo cambiar mi familia.

A mi me gustan Will y Kate y la inmensa mayoría de las veces no estoy de acuerdo contigo, pero, esta vez debo reconocer que concuerdo contigo en varias cosas de tu post.

De acuerdo en que ni el dinero, ni los apellidos, ni los palacios te dan estabilidad, ayudan mucho, pero no salvan a nadie de sufrir, llorar deprimirse, ser envidioso, etc. Considerando que el drama entre Carlos y Diana fue vivido casi casi en público, pues es lógico que sus dos hijos hayan sufrido mucho por las tonterías de ambos padres . A ningún hijo le gustaría saber toooooodo lo que se supo del matrimonio de Carlos y Diana. Y ninguno de ellos se detuvo a pensar en el daño a sus hijos.

No estoy de acuerdo con eso de que arroparon mas a Will. Al contrario, creo ( es mi percepción) que como humanos, cometieron el error de pensar que el hijo mayor, por ser el mayor, ya es casi adulto y pues no. Y creyeron que consentir a Harry , el pequeño, era arroparlo y no. Lo hicieron un bruto carprichudo con muchas ganas de seguir siendo el ombligo del mundo.

Si creo que fue un error alejar a Harry de los militares. Ellos hacen "familia" y dan estructura y eso era bueno para Harry. Lo que Harry necesitaba era una mujer como Kate, porque ella es el tipo de mujer (como dice mi abuelita) que "hace nido", en una mujer "familiar". Y Harry necesitaba ...una esposa maternal.

Meghan, ni de chiste me parece buena. En un matrimonio, el respeto, la admiración, el cuidado , el amor son caminos de 2 vías, dan y te dan. Y Harry da y Meghan solo recibe. Ni lo apoya, ni lo admira, ni lo cuida. Ahí están los video donde lo interrumpe, lo humilla, le hace manoteos para que la deje ser primero. Eso no lo hace ninguna mujer fuerte y buena a su esposo. Si ves a tu esposo como basura, estas frita. Y ella ve a Harry como todo, menos como su amor.

Puede que si, pero te acuerdas como le habló Harry al asistente de la Reina en el aniversario de Carlos como príncipe de Gales? Prepotencia y chulería a más no poder. El rojillo se cree la reina y Meghan, pues aún más. Debe ser horrible lidiar con ellos , pobres guardias.

Yo estoy de acuerdo en que Harry es inestable emocionalmente, pero eso no le quita ninguna responsabilidad por sus actos. No le quita responsabilidad por haber despreciado a su familia y amigos, quienes siempre lo protegieron y apoyaron a lo largo de su vida. No le quita responsabilidad por tomar una decisión que lo aleja de sus obligaciones, incluso con los militares a quiénes tanto dice admirar y con quienes tanto dijo tener en común.

Tal parece que si una persona tiene problemas emocionales, entonces se le perdona todo y se le quita responsabilidad por sus actos.

Yo no dudo que William haya tenido problemas emocionales (y que aun los tenga), o el mismo Charles, o la Queen. Creo que TODOS tenemos problemas emocionales, pero hay quienes asumen responsabilidad sobre sus propias vidas, no toman el papel de víctima y trabajan para superar sus problemas.
