The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have said they will not be revealing the godparents of baby Archie after his private christening this weekend.
There was fury when the Palace revealed the newest Royal would be having a private christening, following news the taxpayer unknowingly forked out £2.4million for renovations to their new home Frogmore Cottage.
But they have now revealed they will not be making Archie's godparents public after the ceremony at Windsor Castle on Saturday.

A royal announcement this afternoon confirmed the service will be presided over by the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby.

Harry and Meghan chose private photographer Chris Allerton to capture their wedding day in Windsor back in May 2018.
Previously unseen, black and white images he took of the day were released this May to celebrate the couple's one-year anniversary.
So impressed by his work, they also chose him to take the first public pictures of baby Archie.
Usually royal births are swarmed with photographers, as was the case when they camped outside the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital in London after the births of Prince George, Louis and Princess Charlotte.
But only Mr Allerton was allowed inside Winsdor Castle for the moment Harry, Meghan and Archie were first seen in public as a family.
Previously a soldier in the British Army he left in 2001 to become a photographer.
They have chosen their wedding photographer Chris Allerton, who also took the first official photos of Archie when he was just two days old, to photograph the ceremony.
The couple said they 'look forward to sharing some images taken on the day' by their one of their favourite photographers, but the 'godparents, in keeping with their wishes, will remain private'.
There has been huge speculation over who Harry and Meghan have chosen to be their firstborn's godparents, with their decision likely to disappoint thousands of their fans.
Close friends of the couple Harry's former equerry Mark Dyer and Meghan's best friends Jessica Mulroney and Misha Nonoo are among the likely candidates.
Also tipped to be in the running are Wimbledon champion Serena Williams, George and Amal Clooney and Harry's cousin Zara Tindall and her husband Mike.
Sources claim Saturday's service will be a 'very small gathering' of about 25 people.
It will be attended by Archie's grandfather the Prince Charles, the Duchess of Cornwall and Kate and William, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
The Queen will miss her great-grandson's baptism due to other commitments, reports the Sunday Times.
The statement reads: 'Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor will be christened in a small private ceremony by the Archbishop of Canterbury in the Private Chapel at Windsor Castle on Saturday 6th July.
'The Duke and Duchess of Sussex look forward to sharing some images taken on the day by photographer Chris Allerton.
'The godparents, in keeping with their wishes, will remain private.'

Royal critics slammed the decision to keep the christening private, particularly in light of the row over the refurbishments at Frogmore.
Royal biographer Penny Junor said members of the public would have wanted to share Harry and Meghan's joy of baptizing their first child, branding the move a 'terrible mistake'.
She said: 'We're not asking for Archie to become public property but to be able to share in the pleasure of his christening, I think it is only fair to give the public that pleasure.
'Because although Archie himself is not going to be a working member of the royal family, so far as we can tell he's going to be brought up as a normal child, that's fine but Harry is very much a part of the royal family as we've known it over the years.
'People love him and they're really happy for him – he's married Meghan and they've had the baby – and they want to share in the joy of that and I think this is a terrible shame and I think it's a mistake.'

Tanto misterio como siempre, la cuestión es crear expectativa y que se hable, que par de snobs descerebrados por dios....pobre crío, con semejantes padres...quieren que sea normal pero le ponen máster y luego pedirán títulos y reverencias, lo esconden, lo muestran por partes, se dicen y se desdicen...ya no veo la hora de que a ella la devuelvan a Hollywood y él siente cabeza y se case como corresponde!
Quizás los padrinos y madrinas no tienen nada que ver con el mundo de Hollywood. Y son anglicanos , de resabiada no quiere mostrar quiénes son. Todo lleno de misterio
Al fin un comunicado oficial, no filtrciones proporciondas por la susodicha, lo extraño es que con los niños Cambridge los anuncios se hacian con semanas de anticipación y este con apenas tres dias?, la verdad es que con estos Sussex y su bebito todo es raro raro.
