ARRIVING in the West Country this morning, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle looked loved-up and relaxed as they embraced the wintry weather for a visit to the Bristol Old Vic theatre.

And with a matter of weeks before the couple welcome their first child, body language expert Judi James claims Harry - who she says appeared to be "bursting with pride" today - can't wait to be "hands-on" and will be an exception to the "Windsor dad" stereotype.

Meghan and Harry braved the snow and ice today
"Arriving in the snow, Harry’s body language placed him firmly in the excited, ‘can’t-wait-to-be-a-dad’ category," explained Judi.

"He looked torn between dancing attendance on his pregnant wife and falling over himself to perform some very animated chatting with a group of small children from the local school.

"With his alpha body splaying with Meghan and the besotted, joyful smiles as he communicated with the kids, the suggestion is that he’s going to be a very doting, hands-on dad with Meghan happy to step back slightly to encourage his enthusiastic parenting."

Judi also explained 34-year-old Harry appeared naturally protective over Meghan this afternoon, offering support - but only "in case she needed it".

Judi says Harry can't wait to be a dad
"As the couple emerged, Harry’s drawn in lips and puckered brows suggested careful concentration as he focused on his pregnant wife," Judi explained.

"He looked keen to gently lead Meghan around but without cramping her style or fussing.

"In the end he offered his left hand cupped palm-up to allow her to do her own thing with it, offering it for balance or support but only in case she needed it.

"As they walked together hand-in-hand, Harry’s walk became almost jaunty, showing high levels of happiness as his more playful style re-appeared.

"His splayed shoulders and arms and angled torso made it look as though he was bursting with pride as he proudly lead Meghan out towards the crowds."

The pair greeted pre-school children this afternoon
During the couple's visit, Meghan was spotted speaking to a group of pre-school children, before waving over to her husband and encouraging him to also greet the young tots.

Judi explained Harry was "in his element".

"It was Meghan who beckoned him over when she spotted the group of small children and then she stood back slightly to allow Harry to show off his skills as a dad-to-be," revealed Judi.

"Pointing, bending, flapping his arms and grinning and chatting, Harry was clearly in his element and even helped pull on one child’s hood to stop it getting wet in the snow.

"Both Meghan and Harry wore mirrored, congruent smiles of utter delight as they communicated and played with the children but it was Harry who took over the lead once Meghan had ushered him in, showing the high levels of participation he’ll be likely to take once his own baby is born."

Harry will be a "hands-on parent" says Judi
While Judi explained 37-year-old Meghan seemed "besotted", she also revealed Harry will be a "hands-on parent" - which the body language expert claims will be an "exception" in comparison to other "Windsor men".

"Watching her constant bump-cradling and touching rituals it's easy to see how besotted and tactile Meghan will be with this, her first child," said Judi.

"That could also have hinted that she'd be overly protective and perhaps not totally willing to share the care of the baby.

"However her behaviour here suggests the complete opposite.

"Harry is clearly keen to get stuck in and she looks equally happy to encourage him. Windsor men aren't known for their hands on parenting but Harry looks as though he will be an exception."
