Sí, lo entiendo perfectamente, por acá hace muchísimos años un personaje político dijo "al borde del abismo, demos un paso adelante". Yo no lo viví, pero muchas veces se trae a colación...el resto del discurso ni idea, pero esa frase absurda perdura.

Me he sometido a la tortura de escuchar el arroz con chicle que fue el “discurso” de MeMa. Alguien preguntó de dónde y a quién habrá plagiado esta vez y creo que encontré varias fuentes.
Para empezar, el mensaje es harto incoherente. No dice nada concreto, ofrece “consejitos y orejitas” muy clichés y no tiene una definición o visión de liderazgo y activismo definida, a pesar de que eso se trata el evento. Y que si las tuviera, parecen contrarias a la visión de la organización y las demás conferenciantes. Piensa que lanzas los términos de actualidad y la gente piensa que sabes de lo que estás hablando. No es el caso. Por lo visto solamente están empezando ese proceso de “educarse” para ser líderes del movimiento Black Lives Matter y motores de cambio social. Par favar.
Ahora doy mi opinión sobre de dónde se copió algunas de sus expresiones:
MeMa: ‘‘I want to share something with you. It’s that those in the halls and corridors and places of power, from lawmakers to world leaders to executives, all of those people, they depend on you more than you will ever depend on them. And here’s the thing. They know this.’’
MI OPINIÓN: Me da mucha risa que se hayan reseñado tanto estas expresiones sobre los pasillos del poder como si estuviera refiriéndose de manera solapada a la Reina Isabel y la monarquía. Esto es simple y llanamente uno de los argumentos más divulgados y más aceptados que han salido de la pandemia de la Covid-19 en los EEUU. Si yo hiciera una búsqueda ahora mismo en Twitter y Google Images, me saldrían cientos de tweets y de memes haciendo este punto. Cuando el congreso y el presidente en EEUU pasaron las iniciativas de rescate y asistencia y gran parte del dinero era para rescatar grandes empresas y no al ciudadano de a pié, combinado con las protestas de BLM, los boicots a empresas que estaban discriminando o poniendo a sus empleados en alto riesgo de contraer la Covid o despidiendo empleados justo que acababan de cobrar cientos de millones de dólares en rescate del gobierno y se exigía trabajar a los “empleados esenciales” que resultaban ser los de más bajo nivel y peor paga, no los gerentes ni ejecutivos, esta conclusión empezó a correr como la pólvora. Que las empresas, el gobierno y la sociedad en general, para operar y generar riqueza y ganancias y sobrevivir la crisis económica que ya ha comenzado, necesitan más a estos empleados de bajo nivel de lo que la sociedad necesita a las grandes empresas y los políticos. Pffffft!!! Plagio total.
MeMa: ‘Make them a little uncomfortable, because it’s only in that discomfort that we actually create the conditions to reimagine our standards, our policies, and our leadership, to move towards real representation and meaningful influence over the structures of decision making and power. Despite what some might say, this reimagining, it’s not a zero sum game where one side wins and one side loses. Not at all. It is mutually beneficial and better for everyone.’
MI OPINIÓN: Esta está muy fuerte porque se la plagió de diferentes fuentes pero pienso que la principal fueron las palabras del expresidente Obama a raíz de las protestas que siguieron al asesinato de George Floyd por la policía. Lo más que se basa en lo que dijo Obama es la parte de “make them uncomfortable” y que no es un “zero-sum game”. Las palabras entre medio tienen poquísimo sentido. Son un “merde-salad” de términos acuñados.
Las palabras de Obama fueron entre el 2 y el 3 de junio, por lo que ahora también veo que algunas de las cosas que dijo en otras de sus apariciones “Zoom” también se nutrieron de ahí.
Presidente Obama: "I've been hearing a little bit of chatter ... voting vs. protest. Politics and participation versus civil disobedience and direct action," Obama said. "This is not an either or. This is a both and. To bring about real change, we both have to highlight a problem and make people in power uncomfortable, but we also have to translate that into practical solutions and laws that can be implemented."
MeMa: ‘There will always be negative voices, and sometimes those voices can appear to be outsized and sometimes they can appear to be painfully loud. But you can use your own voice to drown out that noise. Because that’s what it is. It is just noise, but your voices are those of truth and hope, and your voices can and should be much louder. I know they’ve already done so much and made so many people’s lives better. The moment we’re living through right now asks all of us to do more. It’s a moment when your voices and your action have never been more urgently needed.’
Esta parte a lo más que se me parece es a un intento de usar otra imagen (la de alzar la voz) para expresar la misma idea de la sudafricana que ganó Miss Universo invitando a las niñas y mujeres a “ocupar más espacio”. Esa respuesta, con la que ganó el certamen, fue muy poderosa. Aquí está lo que dijo cuanto contestó que lo que hay que enseñar a las niñas jóvenes es liderazgo:
Miss Universe: "I think we are the most powerful beings on the world, and that we should be given every opportunity. "And that is what we should be teaching these young girls - to take up space."
Por otro lado, en octubre de 2019 la revisa Elle incluyó a Zendaya, la joven actriz y cantante, en su reconocimiento a mujeres en Hollywood. En su mensaje de aceptación Zendaya dijo lo siguiente que MeMa parece haber parafraseado:
“You know, I don't have all the answers or anything, but I can say I'm extremely inspired. Please continue to knock down doors, and please continue to jam them open and allow other people to come in and make room for each other because that's the only way that shit will be done.
So thank you so much for allowing me to be here, to not just take up space, but to make space for people that look like me, women that look like me, women who don't look like me, and I'm so incredibly grateful, and hopefully I'll be able to do that like many, many of you already have.”
MeMa: ‘Don’t underestimate your ability to push through the fear. You have, rooted in your convictions, the ability to craft a role that you know that’s just in time. And your gut will tell you what’s right and what’s wrong, what’s fair and what’s unfair. The hardest part, and it was the hardest part for me, is to chase your convictions with action. You look at the breadth of the issues we’re facing right now. It is easy to get overwhelmed. I understand. So be where you are in the moment. The growth and the change that you’re pursuing might not feel like anything day to day, but when you look back, I promise you will see that at all adds up. Opino que aquí también se inspiró mucho en Obama y sus expresiones sobre las protestas en junio.
Obama: "I hope that you also feel hopeful even as you may feel angry," "You have communicated a sense of urgency that is as powerful and transformative as anything I have seen in recent years."
"This is a moment, and we have had moments like this before where people are paying attention. And that doesn't mean that everything will get solved, so don't get disheartened, because this is a marathon, not a sprint. But the fact that people are paying attention provides an opportunity to educate, activate, mobilize and act," "And I hope we are able to seize this moment."
En cuanto a la parte en que usa la frase del “precipice of change” es una frase acuñada que usan mucho las personas que se dedican a este asunto del “life-coaching”, un poco new-age, muy en la onda de MeMa y su Archewell foundation.
Sobre lo que mencioné de que también se pudo haber “inspirado” en lo que dijo Obama cuando dio el discurso a las graduandas de su antiguo colegio. Esto es lo que dijo Obama el 3 de junio:
"I want you to know that you matter, I want you to know that your lives matter, that your dreams matter," he said. He added that he hopes that they feel hopeful even as they feel angry, because they "have the power to make things better and you have helped to make the entire country feel as if this is something that's got to change."

Aqui el MeMo y ella estaban encantadisimos y disfrutando los privilegios que le daba su posicion en la BRF, pero ohhh aleluya que a raiz de que no cumplieron sus demandas y caprichitos vieran milagrosamente la luz.
