Recorded in 1963, The Rat Pack: Live At The Sands features one of the great “Summit” performances, which originated during the Rat Pack’s stay in Las Vegas during their filming of Ocean’s Eleven.
As a double-dose of audiovisual document of the Rat Pack, Live and Swingin’: The Ultimate Rat Pack Collection – one disc a CD, one a DVD – more than lives up to its title. Disc one is an audio-only CD culled from 1962 performances given by Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, and Sammy Davis, Jr. at the Villa Venice Night Club in Chicago, while disc two captures a 1965 St. Louis performance by the trio on DVD, with a young Johnny Carson acting as MC for the evening’s frivolity.
